A total of 31 biologists among Rendcomb College's Year 9 and 10 pupils have have continued to attain excellent results with a total of 31 biologists receiving awards.

Among the certificates were Year 9 pupils William and Eddie who achieved Silver awards in the challenge against Year 10 students.

Rendcomb’s Head of Biology and Key Stage 4, Mrs Natalie Johnston, said: “Carmen’s certificate is another fantastic achievement for this group of biologists. This year the grade boundaries were set even higher making all of our pupils’, achievements even greater.”

Carmen has been invited to attend an award ceremony, hosted by the Royal Society of Biology, on Monday, 9 July in London. The ceremony will include a talk by Dr Jon Copley, the award-winning communicator, writer, and educator and associate professor in ocean exploration and public engagement at the University of Southampton.

At the ceremony, the School Biology Teacher of the Year award will be announced in which Natalie has been shortlisted as one of three finalists. 

Natalie continued: “Congratulations to both William and Eddie who performed so well against Year 10’s from around the country. We look forward to seeing them improve next year.”
