Clayesmore's U16 Hockey team are celebrating becoming County Champions.
This year's competition format has been changed by England Hockey and the team entered the tier 3 competition, which involved two pools with three teams in each, followed by semi-final and then a final. Clayesmore acquitted themselves well, scoring 20 goals and finishing with a goal advantage of 17.
The results from the fixtures were as follows:
Match 1: Clayesmore won 3-0 against Sherborne Girls
Match 2: Clayesmore won 8-0 against QE School
Semi-final: Clayesmore won 4-3 against Gillingham School
Final: Clayesmore won 5-0 against Talbot Heath
Speaking about the competition, Clayesmore's Head of Girls Games, Andrea Cheverton said: "The girls were excellent, and we were really proud of their team spirit and determination throughout the tournament. We will now represent Dorset at the West of England tournament at Clifton College on Tuesday 20th November."
