St Columba’s College Ukraine Appeal collects much-needed items for refugees

St Columba’s College Ukraine Appeal is delivering much-needed items to Ukrainian refugees fleeing war in their country. The Catholic school asked for donations of urgently requested items including toothbrushes, nappies and baby food.

Leweston comes together to help Ukraine

Pupils at Leweston joined with the local community to offer donations to send to families in Ukraine. The school was a drop-off site for families to donate food, toiletries, medical equipment and children's clothing.

Kinvara, a pupil at The Royal School, was Runner Up in United Learning’s StorySLAM competition, after going head-to-head with Y5 and Y6 pupils from across the Group’s southern primary schools. The judges were hugely impressed by Kinvara’s story.

A pupil at King's Ely has secured a place at the Junior Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Lauren will be visiting the prestigious London music conservatoire to study Flute and has been playing the instrument since Year 2.

Old Bedalian Gyles Brandreth returned to Bedales recently to hand deliver a copy of his autobiographical memoir, 'Odd Boy Out', and meet current students. Gyles signed the book while sitting in what was his favourite bay as a student.

London Heads are invited to dance to raise funds for disabilities charity

More House School in Knightsbridge and St Paul's Cathedral School have launched the London Heads' Dance Society to raise money for charity, icandance. Heads are invited to don their sequins to dazzle on the dance floor for an event in June 2022.

King’s Ely flautist makes school history with ARSM Diploma result

Lauren, a pupil at King's Ely, has achieved a 49/50 Distinction in her ABRSM Diploma exam on the flute – the highest mark ever achieved by a King's Ely student. Fellow pupil, Sophie, also achieved an exceptional mark, with a 47/50 Distinction.

Lucas, a student at King's Ely, has been crowned the winner of the 2021 ILFORD PHOTO UK Student Photography Competition. The school has now won the contest a remarkable four years running. Emily, also in Year 12, was placed third.

King's Ely teacher runs 5k for 50 days raising £3,500 for Alzheimer’s Society

Nick Williams, Head of Economics at King’s Ely, has raised more than £3,500 for the Alzheimer’s Society by running 5 kilometres for fifty consecutive days. He finished his fiftieth 5 kilometre run on May 16th.
