Clayesmore once again brings out the best in all its students

It’s been another stellar year for exam results for Clayesmore in which Year 13s have achieved success at the very highest levels across a broad range of disciplines.

In STEM subjects, students will be going on to read physics and chemical physics, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, computer science, medicine, physiotherapy, psychology, industrial design and technology, maths and further maths. Congratulations to Bri Riley-Moore, Matthew Cathro, Phoebe Whitley, Ash Thapa, Jago Aartsen, Jessica Chick, Amelia Slay, Abi Jones, Lucas Mueller, Philippe Vennsmith and Xavier Hickman amongst others for securing the very top grades in these subjects.

In languages, Head Boy Theo Fraser will be taking up his place at Cambridge to read Modern and Medieval Languages whilst Maya Meredith will head off to Bath to read French and Italian; also enabling her to continue her netball career as part of the Bath academy.

In the theatre and arts, Emily de Mariveles will take up her unconditional offer to RADA to study Theatre Production and Caitlin Ravenscroft will be off to Bristol Old Vic also on an unconditional offer to study Stage Management. These are exceptional offers reflecting the girls’ hard work and commitment in notoriously competitive areas. Additionally, Jack Davies will read Law, Ellie Beckett will read History at Warwick and Olivia Boreham will read English Literature at Cardiff.

Of the 86 students receiving their results today, 60% had achieved passes at A*-B.Commenting on the results, Clayesmore's Head, Jo Thomson, said “We are so proud of the achievements of all our students. These incredible results reflect not only their hard work but also our broad and innovative curriculum which enables them to pursue their passions and interests, whatever they may be to the very highest levels. That, along with tireless commitment and belief of all our staff enables our students to achieve top grades at both A level and even at BTEC Diploma level (the equivalent of two A levels). We wish them all continued success as they move on to the next stage of their academic careers."

Looking at today's results, it's easy to see why the Tatler School's Guide said about the school, "A bright child will fly here, and a less able one flourish."
