Twenty-nine students from Years 11-13 and three members of staff enjoyed what has been described as the school Art Department’s “trip of a lifetime” to the Big Apple.

Students visited some of New York’s most prestigious art museums during the five-day trip, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Frick Collection in the former residence of Henry Clay Frick, the futuristic Guggenheim Museum, and the Whitney Museum of American Art.

No trip to NYC would be complete without ticking some of the city’s incredible sights and attractions, and the group managed to squeeze in lots of sightseeing and experiences, including visiting the Empire State Building, Central Park and the 9/11 Memorial Garden. They also explored Liberty Island and Ellis Island, walked the Highline, ate at Hard Rock Café and enjoyed a Broadway show, Aladdin.

It was a wonderful tour that really inspired us all, and we are very much looking forward to planning our next adventure.”
