The Bournemouth Collegiate School Swimming Club had a successful weekend at the Swim Bournemouth Level 2 Open Meet at the weekend. Overall there were 17 members of the club (made up of BCS pupils and external members) who participated in the Meet at Littledown including Tokyo 2020 Paralympic hopeful Leo McCrea.
All club members showed that combining their enjoyment of swimming, and a positive mental attitude leads to brilliant results - all those who competed walked away with at least one Personal Best time.
Sam Woodward, Swimming Head Coach at Bournemouth Collegiate School explained "I am so proud of all the swimmers who took part in the meet at the weekend - I have made a conscious effort to instil a love of swimming in all those who train with the Club and this has had an incredibly positive impact on results. The pupils are improving week on week and this is shaping up to be a very successful season for us - I am excited for the future with this cohort."
Russell Slatford, Head at BCS added "Sam continues to lead the Swimming department from strength to strength - members of the Club show a real enthusiasm for their craft which in turn translates to fantastic results. Well done to Sam, and everyone who competed at the weekend."
