It's been an exciting start to the week for pupils at Bournemouth Collegiate School, as the School moved forward with the Digital Learning Strategy and rolled out iPads to pupils in Years 7-10 in order to equip pupils with the skills required for life beyond school.

Over the last year the School has undergone some significant curriculum changes to reflect the importance of digital learning to pupils of today; as such Computer Science being made compulsory in the lower part of the School with pupils being able to elect to study this further up the School. In addition to this, the School has authored new schemes of work to aid and improve pupils' technological skills and to ensure that each pupil is well-versed in the fundamental principles of programming and computer systems.

Helen Pike, Deputy Head Academic at Bournemouth Collegiate School explained "The iPads are an exciting phase of the Digital Strategy; it means we can introduce digital technology into the classroom to enhance teaching and learning. The iPads will bring learning to life and use digital tools to enhance the excellent teaching we have already."
