Clayesmore Prep’s School Library has been awarded a Gold SLS-UK School Library Award this week.The national award recognises the work of school libraries in supporting pupils and helping to raise literacy levels, as well as encouraging a love of reading.Following a self-evaluation process, schools can receive a Main Award, with a handful of high-achieving schools obtaining the prestigious Gold Award.

Prep School Librarian Mrs Bignold said: “On behalf of the Library, we are thrilled to have been awarded a Gold SLS award. This is a great achievement for the Prep School and recognises the continuous efforts of our staff and the pupils’ passion for reading.”
