JB inspires a message of determination and courage at Claremont Fan Court School’s summer meeting

Claremont Fan Court School in Esher hosted a prize giving with a difference this June as former JLS and CBeebies star opened its summer meeting to great acclaim. JB addressed a crowd of 2000 pupils and parents and talked through the significance of his mother’s wise words: “someone has to be first, so why can’t it be you?”. Mr Brierly, headmaster and a former teacher to JB, joked that he had entered his 20s studying theology, had concluded his 20s as a farmer having sold 100 million records in between. JB, in praising the Pre-Prep recorder group, talked about the importance of taking every opportunity in life and relying on grit and determination to succeed.

Claremont Fan Court is a co-educational independent school educating children from 2 ½ to 18, which gave JB the opportunity to read a story to the youngest and be interviewed for the school paper by the eldest. Mr Brierly said “summer meeting offers a delightful chance to celebrate what it is that makes Claremont Fan Court School such a positive environment in which to grow, learn and thrive.”
