Earlier this month, Kingham Hill School treated local primary school children to a day full of fun and learning at its Languages Day.
Bonjour! Hola! Salve!
Earlier this month, Kingham Hill School hosted a fun and interactive languages day for a group of 52 primary school children.
The day started out with a warm welcome in our beautiful Chapel by Mr Gareth Williams, Head of Languages. Pupils from Bloxham Church of England Primary School, Stow on the Wold Primary School and Wychwood Church of England Primary School were then able to experience taster classes in French, Spanish and Latin.
Engaging and inspiring, the children learned to talk about different modes of transport in French, learned to sing “Old MacDonald had a farm” in Spanish and discovered that Harry Potter spells have Latin roots!
The day was kick started with a lovely themed lunch where there was a choice of Toulouse sausages or paella, both of which were very tasty!
To draw the day to a close Mr Williams gathered everyone back in the Chapel to say thank you before the children excitedly departed, biscuit in hand!
Au revoir! Adiós! Vale!
