Last weekend, Moreton Hall played host to a Prep Schools Tennis Tournament. It was a glorious day with the sun shining and all twelve tennis courts were in action with some wonderful tennis being displayed.
There were nine schools that took part: Birchfield, Old Hall, King's Chester, Abberley Hall, St Winefride's, Packwood Haugh, Prestfelde and Shrewsbury Girls High School.
The event ran in the first stages as a round robin tournament then went to a knockout semi-finals and final stage. There were four categories; U13s Boys, U13 Girls, U11 Boys, U11 Girls.
The results were:

U13s Boys - Winners were Prestfelde A team Beating Birchfield 7-2

U13 Girls - Winners were Abberley A Beating Packwood A in the final 5-4

U11 Boys - Winners were King's Chester who beat Birchfield in the Final 6-3

U11 Girls - Winners were Prestfelde A team beating King's Chester in the final 4-3

Everyone enjoyed afternoon tea in the pavilion after a warm afternoon playing tennis.
